About us

The Amphibian Report Card is an educational and collaborative tool to support amphibian conservation efforts in the United States. While amphibians are the most endangered group of animals in the world, most people are unaware of the ecological trends driving these animals’ decline and what can be done to protect them.

To effectively conserve species, researchers and conservationists must evaluate and prioritize existing and emerging threats.

With input from these amphibian experts, the Amphibian Report Card aims to rapidly assess the impact of the six major global threats on individual species and highlight ongoing conservation efforts to reduce these threats. To learn more about how amphibians were graded, click here.

The Amphibian Report Card is designed to serve as a user-friendly platform that educators and the public can rely on to access information about amphibians, major threats, and opportunities to contribute to conservation.

This project was initiated by the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders program, an international training and mentoring initiative that brings together environmental professionals for capacity building and training in campaign development and advocacy skills, in partnership with leading amphibian conservation partners.
